It's a natural part of aging. By 40, many people lose their ability to focus on objects at close range. The restaurant menu, newspaper print, directions on a label--all become blurry when the condition, known as presbyopia, sets in. The good news is that presbyopia, or farsightedness, is easily corrected with reading glasses, bifocals, and magnification devices.
Many of the vision enhancing products we offer are available in several magnification strengths. A 1.5 designation, for instance, means the lens will magnify an object to 150% of its original size, 2.0 to 200%, etc. Our chart below offers examples of type as it would appear with different levels of magnification.
